On the eve of a high-stakes quarter-final showdown with Palmeiras at Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia, Chelsea FC paid an emotional tribute to the late Diogo Jota and his brother André Silva, both tragically lost in a car accident just days earlier. The sombre pre-match moment resonated deeply—with the squad and fans uniting in remembrance.

In a poignant ceremony, Pedro Neto, Jota's former Wolves teammate and close friend, bravely led the minute of silence carrying a shirt emblazoned with both Jota and André's names. Players such as Ruben Neves and João Cancelo from Al-Hilal and Trent Alexander-Arnold at Real Madrid had also paused to honor Jota's memory.
